Based in Turin, Piedmont, the club plays at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, a 27,958-capacity venue named in honor of the legendary Grande Torino team of the 1940s. That extraordinary team won 5 consecutive Serie A titles before being tragically wiped out in the Superga air disaster of 1949, which claimed 31 lives including 18 Torino players.
