Le Racing
Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace is a French professional football club based in Strasbourg, Grand Est. Founded in 1906, the club plays at the Stade de la Meinau, a 26,280-seat venue that is one of the most atmospheric grounds in French football. Strasbourg has won the Ligue 1 title once, in the 1978-79 season, and has claimed the Coupe de France on three occasions. The club also won the Coupe de la Ligue four times, making it one of the most successful teams in that competition's history. In 2023, the club was acquired by BlueCo, the same ownership group that controls Chelsea FC, which has brought significant investment and a new strategic direction. Under the guidance of coach Liam Rosenior, Strasbourg has adopted a modern, possession-based style of play. The club holds the unique distinction of being the only French club to have won all four major domestic trophies: Ligue 1, Coupe de France, Coupe de la Ligue, and the Trophee des Champions. Strasbourg's passionate fanbase and its position in the cross-border region of Alsace give it a distinctive identity within French football.
