Real Betis

Real Betis Balompie, founded in 1907, is a professional football club based in Seville, Andalusia, Spain. The club plays its home matches at the Estadio Benito Villamarin, which holds over 60,000 spectators, making it one of the largest stadiums in Spanish football. Real Betis won its only La Liga title in the 1934-35 season under the guidance of Irish coach Patrick O'Connell, becoming the first club from Andalusia to win the national championship. The club has won the Copa del Rey three times, with victories in 1977, 2005, and 2022. Betis is known for its passionate fanbase and the intense Seville derby against city rivals Sevilla FC, one of the most heated rivalries in Spanish football. Under manager Manuel Pellegrini, Betis qualified for the UEFA Europa League and has established itself as a consistent top-half La Liga side.
