Nottingham Forest
The Reds
Nottingham Forest Football Club, founded in 1865, is one of English football's most romantic and historically significant clubs. Based at the City Ground, a 30,445-capacity stadium on the banks of the River Trent, Forest achieved the extraordinary under legendary manager Brian Clough, winning back-to-back European Cups in 1979 and 1980 — a feat matched by only a handful of clubs. The club also won the First Division title in 1978 and two League Cups. Forest's rise from Second Division obscurity to European champions in just three years remains one of football's greatest fairy tales. After decades outside the top flight, Forest returned to the Premier League in 2022 and has re-established itself as a competitive top-tier club.
