SS Lazio, founded in 1900, is a prestigious Italian football club based in Rome. The club shares the Stadio Olimpico with city rivals Roma and has won 2 Serie A titles (1974, 2000). Lazio's most celebrated era came in the late 1990s and early 2000s under owner Sergio Cragnotti and coach Sven-Göran Eriksson, when the club assembled a star-studded squad featuring Pavel Nedvěd, Juan Sebastián Verón, and Alessandro Nesta, winning the league and cup double in 2000. Lazio has won 7 Coppa Italia titles and the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1999. The Derby della Capitale against Roma is the club's defining rivalry. Lazio is known for its sky blue colors and the eagle mascot that flies over the stadium before matches.
