The Vampires
FC Anyang is a professional football club based in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Founded in 2013 following the dissolution of the original Anyang FC, the club was built to restore professional football to the city after FC Seoul's predecessor had relocated from Anyang to Seoul in 2004. FC Anyang plays its home matches at the Anyang Stadium, which has a capacity of 18,216. The club earned promotion to K League 1 for the 2025 season after a strong campaign in K League 2, marking its first-ever appearance in the top division. Managed by Ryu Byeong-hoon, FC Anyang has built a squad blending experienced Korean players with foreign imports, including Brazilian winger Yago Cesar and Croatian winger Ivan Jukic. The club is known for its passionate supporters' group, the Anyang Vampires, and has developed a reputation for competitive, hardworking football despite operating on a modest budget compared to the league's bigger clubs.
