Central Coast Mariners

Central Coast Mariners FC is a professional football club based in Gosford, on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 2004 as one of the inaugural A-League clubs, the Mariners play their home matches at Central Coast Stadium, a picturesque waterfront venue with a capacity of 20,119. The club has won the A-League Championship twice, with Grand Final victories in 2012-13 and 2022-23, and claimed the A-League Premiership on one occasion. Despite operating on one of the smallest budgets in the league, Central Coast Mariners has become renowned for its ability to develop talent and punch above its weight, with the club's academy producing numerous Socceroos and overseas professionals. The 2025-26 squad is captained by Trent Sainsbury, a veteran Socceroos defender with English Premier League experience at Crystal Palace, who brings elite-level leadership. The squad also features Australian midfielder Alfie McCalmont, young playmaker Miguel Di Pizio, and striker Ryan Edmondson.
